The run up to Christmas

We started our Christmas at the end of November with our trip to center parcs. What an amazing five days with my little family.

Swimming every day, lunch out, fireworks, woodland lodge snuggles by the fire. W and P getting on really well – except for the sibling love especially in the bike trailer!!

We visited Father Christmas one afternoon – two very excited children ready to see ‘santa’! A lovely entrance greeted by an elf. It was all going so well, they both knocked on his door, entered and then…P realised that this was a weird man in a room with a beard! She doesn’t like beards. Crying consumed the rest of our visit. W however loved it – where are your machines to make the toys? Where are the elves? Classic questioning all the while we just realised he had his hands down his pants!!

Back from our hols and w straight back to school and the Christmas songs have started ready for his nursery ‘play’. He’s such a happy boy when Christmas is around – and so am I a very happy mummy too.

First weekend of December – tree buying and putting up. Fab fun with my favourite 3 – obviously we had trouble getting in the car – and then making it straight in the stand. But, it’s up and looks beautiful.

School fun – W had his nativity play (see other blog), visit to Peter Pan pantomime, Xmas jumper day and nursery party – all in the last 7 days of school. Amazing opportunities for all the children and so lovely he can join in with them all.
